MNAC Viewpoint
Classical viewsDe un lado Para otro, Tengo Alma Viajera
It is one of the most emblematic viewpoints in the city, since it is located in front of the National Museum of Art of Catalonia. To get there, go to the Espanya metro station and then ascend the grand staircase preceding the museum. The view includes Las Arenas Shopping Center, the two Venician-style towers of Montjuic and mount Tibidabo in the background. It’s the best location to see the “La Mercè” fireworks, a popular festive party in Barcelona during the end of September.
Las Arenas Viewpoint
Grasping MontjuicDe un lado Para otro
It is a place to see the opposite: the National Museum of Art of Catalonia and Mount Montjuic. The viewpoint is located on an elevated circular platform built on top of Las Arenas Shopping Center. There are a lot of bars and restaurants where you can delight yourself with excellent food options. It is a good plan for a date to come here on a Sunday before or after going to the cinema located in the same shopping center.
El Corte Inglés Viewpoint
In the heart of the cityDe un lado Para otro
This relatively new viewpoint offers the best view to the city center. It is situated on the rooftop terrace of the popular shopping center El Corte Inglés at the famous Plaça Catalunya. You will see the Plaça with its iconic architecture, the lively Passeig de Gracia and even the Sagrada Familia. The terrace also houses a restaurant. That makes it an ideal place to have a drink with your partner or friends with incredible views over the city!
Els Bunkers Viewpoint
Hipster atmosphereDe un lado Para otro, Tengo Alma Viajera
This place allows you to grasp the city as a whole. It offers a 360-degree view. You see such emblematic places as the Sagrada Familia, the Mapfre Towers, Tibidabo and the Parc de la Ciutadella. The place is usually called the Bunkers thought there have never been any bunkers. Located at the top of Turó de la Rovira, it was once antiaircraft warfare which used to protect the city in the times of the Spanish Civil War. The abandoned atmosphere of the place makes it a very special location for a romantic date! It is about 25-minute walk from Alfons X station.
Tibidabo Mountain
The highest pointDe un lado Para otro, Tengo Alma Viajera
Being 512 meters high, Tibidabo is Barcelona’s highest mountain. It overlooks the city offering its one of the most beautiful views. The most popular place here is the Mirador del Tibidabo which is located in the amusement park on the mountain. To get here you will need to take the funicular from Plaça Doctor Andreu. The park is fun and has many exciting attractions. It has an entrance fee, however if you don’t want to go on any rides, you can walk there for free.
Sarrià Viewpoint
Serene retreatDe un lado Para otro
Life bubbling in the cozy neighborhoods of upper Barcelona with the shining Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop. This small and little-known viewpoint is one of the most charming. This is a peaceful place in the outskirts where you can relax from the city hustle and admire the beauty of Catalan nature. It is best reached by car.
Torre Baró Viewpoint
A new perspectiveDe un lado Para otro
This viewpoint is located at the Torre Baró hill, in the Nou Barris district. You will need to take a bus to get there. At the top of the hill, there is an enigmatic castle-like structure which, in fact, is an unfinished hotel building. From here, you will see the metropolitan area of Barcelona and the mountains.
