Fun Things to Do in the Evening in Barcelona

Ideas for an entertaining evening

About this guide

We have a blog about Barcelona's cultural life and the city's most fun places. We made a list of our favorite activities, from stand-up comedy to indie films and improvisation workshops. Great thing that you will be able to enjoy these things even if you don’t speak Spanish. We picked up places with a big expat community where tourists feel just as welcome as locals. Whether you are in the company of friends or alone, this guide promises evenings filled with laughter, challenges, and cultural enrichment.

The Comedy Clubhouse Barcelona is a nice, energetic stand-up club with shows in English. Most of the comedians are Barcelona-based folks from all over the world. But this is the place where the stars like Michelle Wolf or Louis CK perform when they visit the city. It is a fun place with a very relaxed atmosphere. They have shows every evening but the best stuff happens on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are usually around 7-12 Euros. Plus, on the weekdays, they sometimes have pay-what-you-want events. Always check the schedule on their Instagram before going.

Bcn is live

This is an old-school movie theater in GrΓ cia. Here, they screen films in original languages with subtitles, which is quite rare in Spain. It is the place to go if you prefer movies in their original language rather than dubbed. Plus, if you don't speak Spanish, come here to watch British and American cinema. In one of the rooms, they usually show popular releases, but 4 others are dedicated to European and independent films. Come here to watch some artsy stuff from the film festivals. The schedule and tickets are on their website. Tickets cost around 7-8 Euros, standard for movie theaters in Barcelona.
