Guide for Nature Lovers
About this guide
If you are a nature lover, you're in luck because very close to Barcelona, you can find beautiful trails to rest from the city's hustle and bustle. I made a list of my favorite hiking trails. You can reach all these routes by public transport.
Gorg de la Mola
To the waterfallTengo Alma Viajera
Distance: 3.5 km round trip. Difficulty: Easy with no elevation.
This beautiful waterfall runs through rocks forming a small canyon. Reaching it is very easy, and the surrounding environment is very beautiful. The waterfall is located close to Sant Andreu de la Barca. You can get there using Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat, and you only have to walk 20 minutes to the start of the route. There is a swimming area by the waterfall. So, you can take swimwear with you and bring booties because there are quite a few stones.
Camí de Ronda Sant Feliu de Guíxols to S’Agaró
Along the coastTengo Alma Viajera
Route: 5 km round trip. Difficulty: Easy.
The Costa Brava is full of trails parallel to the sea from which you can enjoy beautiful beaches and Mediterranean landscapes. Among all these trails, one of my favorites is the one from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to s’Agaró. You'll have a beautiful view of the coast and find beautiful secret coves to take a dip.
Gavà Caves and Eramprunyà Castle

Distance: 3 km round trip. Difficulty: Easy with little elevation.
This trail goes through a unique landscape with many caves. It makes you feel like you're on another planet. The route is very simple and well-signposted. Along the way you will see a natural stone arch and several caves you can also enter. The trail ends by the ruins of a castle. The route starts at the Ermita del Brugués. It is one of the most emblematic tours in Catalonia. Montserrat is a very special mountain that deserves more than one visit. It houses theSanta Maria de Montserrat Abbey, which for centuries have been an important place of pilgrimages. In addition to visiting the sanctuary, you can take several mountain routes. The serrated mountains landscape is breathtaking. You can reach Montserrat by bus or train from Barcelona and then you will need to take a cable car or funicular to get to the sanctuary.

Very close to Barcelona is the Delta del Llobregat, a large plain located in the mouth of LLobregat. This space is rich in flora and fauna, so, you can take a pleasant walk. It is a chance to observe local birds such as herons, snipes and ducks. Plus, you can explore the old houses of the area's guards. You'll get there by train and bus from Barcelona.
