My name is Palak. I have my own travel and lifestyle blog. I moved to Barcelona in 2022. I like when a restaurant offers not just food but an experience. I want to be surrounded with beautiful things, and I think that details like interior and plating matter. An interesting and memorable concept adds to the experience and gives a chance to snap some exciting photos. These are my favorite brunch spots I discovered in the time I have been living in Barcelona.

🥞 Industrial chicPalak Bothra
This is the first place I suggest whenever one of my friends visits me in Barcelona. Located in Eixample, very close to Passeig de Gracia, it is a modern space with an industrial look. They have a great photo area on the first floor. The plating is always exquisite. So, it is hard not to start snapping pictures. The food is great as well. I recommend you try their berry pancakes and vegan toast with mushrooms, avocado, and mango & pineapple chutney.

Trendy place in El Born, right next to the Picasso Museum. You can stop by before or after your visit to the museum. The place is small, but they have a nice shady outdoor terrace. It is very popular among locals, and they don’t take reservations. That is why there are usually queues on the weekends. But it is worth the wait. Open daily from 10 am to 4 pm. I come here for their sweet-and-sour passion fruit pancakes and refreshing mimosas. It is the place that makes me feel good about myself.

It is a very popular local chain with several locations throughout Barcelona. My favorite is called “Brunch & Cake by the Sea”. It is located by the Museu d'Història de Catalunya, less than a 5-minute walk from the Barceloneta beach. I usually stop by this place on the way from the beach. The place has a sweet and whimsical interior and a nice terrace, all things great for your Instagram stories. I love their grandma’s-style desserts, especially the carrot cake. Savory things do not disappoint as well. I recommend trying their poke bowl or their vegan burrito.

🧁 Colorful blissPalak Bothra
This is a very fun and cheerful place. The interior is full of bright colors, fluorescent signs, and cascades of flowers. I feel here like in a wonderland waiting for a unicorn to step out of the kitchen. Good bits: it is a pet-friendly place. So, you can take your fluffy friend with you. Plus, they are open till late. In the evening, with all the fluorescent lights on, the place looks especially magical. My regulars here are their lavender lemonade and Nutella pancakes.
