This is a list of my favorite parks in Barcelona where you can spread out your blanket and set up for an outdoor feast. These are places to have a romantic picnic with your partner or a brunch with your friends. It is great to enjoy the city outside! Just keep an eye on your things especially in the areas full of tourists.
Parc de la Ciutadella
Historic Park

It is a big park in the very center of Barcelona, next to El Born Neighborhood and Arc de Triumf, just a 20 minutes’ walk from Barceloneta Beach. There are many tourist landmarks located on its territory including the Parliament of Catalonia, Barcelona Zoo, and the Castle of the Three Dragons. The park is full of life. You can relax sitting by the grand Cascada Fountain, join the outdoor swing dance, go to one of the museums or rent a small boat to paddle around the lake.
Parc Joan Miró

Located next to the Plaça d'Espanya, this park is much calmer and doesn’t have so many tourists. You can buy some pastry at one of the bakeries nearby and enjoy your picnic. I recommend stopping by the OakBerry for a delicious açai bowl. Many people go here to exercise. So, it can be a nice place to do yoga or run. Afterwards you can visit the Arenas, the large mall located right next to.
Parc del Poblenou

Poblenou is a very nice residential neighborhood. And the park is located at the very waterfront, by the beach. It is a nice option if you want to be close to the beach but escape it when it is crowded. There are a skate park, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts: so, you will always find people playing sports. Every second week on Sundays there is a Brazilian samba group playing. Many people come to see their performances, dance and sing along.
Turó Park

A compact and elegant park next to the Diagonal. It is a very quiet and peaceful place. The park has a beautiful pond and statues of Catalonian musicians and poets. It is a nice place to read a book and just chill. Right by the corner, there is a restaurant — the Turó Cafe. You can stop here for some traditional tapas or just a coffee. For some reason, my mind connects this place to the ‘Gossip Girl’ but it can be just me.
