Where to Play Football

The football pitches in Sagrado Corazón school are really special to me as I’ve organized several football tournaments there during my university times. I still play there on a weekly basis. The pitches are located in the lovely district of Sarria with spectacular views on Tibidabo and Collserola Natural Park. There is one artificial turf 11-a-side pitch that can also be used as two 7-a-side pitches and two 5-a-side pitches. There is also a bar where you can get some drinks and food after the game. I recommend coming at the weekend or on Friday as during the week the pitches are often reserved by the school or local teams.

This pitch is located in Vallvidrera to get there you need to take the funicular from Peu de Funicular. So, it is already a journey. I’ve only played a couple of times in Vallvidrera but similarly to Sagrada Corazon the views are simply insane from this pitch. It is quite and the air is much more fresh outside the city. The pitches are artificial turf. Plus, you’ll find a nice bar not far where you can relax after the game.

El Carmel Football Stadium is located in Barcelona’s iconic Park Güell. This is a 11-a-side artificial turf pitch. It was one of the first places I played on in Barcelona so it’s always nostalgic for me to go there. The pitch offers spectacular views over the city. You can see the sea, Montjuic, Sagrada Familia, Torre Glories - pretty much the whole city.
