This Gothic-style bridge was built by Gaudí's disciple Joan Rubió i Bellver in 1928 during the neighborhood's renovation. It connects the Palau de la Generalitat and La Casa dels Canonges (The House of Canonics), where the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya resides. If you want to take a good photograph of this place, it is essential to arrive very early. This way, you get good lighting (the street is narrow, and not much light enters) and avoid crowds.
This is one of the city’s most emblematic attractions. This bridge connects two buildings on Carrer del Bisbe in the Gothic Quarter. Although built only in 1928, the bridge adorned with intricate architectural details and quirky gargoyles encapsulates the medieval atmosphere of the district.
