Flax & Kale is located just 5 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya, so you can come by after a long walk in the city center. If you book, ask for a table on the terrace on the first floor, which has a nice urban garden. From there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the church and listen to the melodious rhythm of the old town. This place has a flexitarian (flexible vegetarian) concept, offering a primarily plant-based menu with occasional indulgences like shrimp. I celebrated one of my birthdays here. It was nice because vegetarians could enjoy their goodies, and carnivorous folks could have a nice oily salmon or a tuna burger. I suggest you try their truly delicious gluten-free pizza with some clever combinations of vegetables, fruits, and grains.

Flax & Kale is a vegan & vegetarian-friendly restaurant. They have several locations in Barcelona. I'd recommend going to the one on Carrer dels Tallers, in El Raval: it has a beautiful rooftop terrace. Most of the dishes they serve are plant-based, and the rest contain oily fish. They have separate menus for breakfast, brunch, and lunch/dinner. So, when you come here, you always have something new to explore. They offer healthy plates from different corners of the world. You can enjoy delicious Mexican tacos, pad thai, and bibimbap, vegan lasagna (one of my absolute favorites), or Korean fish wraps. I would also highlight their kombucha. It is so good that it has become a recognized brand, and they sell it all over Spain.
