A mountain, an amusement park, and a majestic temple all in one place. You can reach it by car or public transport. The amusement park has a whole day option (adults — 28.5€, children — 10.3€) or 2€ for separate attractions. I highly recommend trying the churros at the park stand.

🌄 About Tibidabo

Tibidabo is the highest mountain overlooking the city of Barcelona. It is located at the very edge of the city and offers an incredible panoramic view of the Catalan capital with the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop. Being so close to the city, Tibidabo is the perfect place to get some fresh air and trade the city's buzz for some chill mountain scenes. At the top of the mountain, you will find beautiful nature, an old-school amusement park, and an imposing church with unusual architecture.

🚞 Conquer the mountain in comfort

We will describe the most beautiful way to get to the iconic mountain. First, get to Avenida Tibidabo Metro Station. Right next to it, you will find a tram station. A charming vintage-looking tram (Tramvia Blau) will bring you to the Funicular station. Then, you take a funicular or walk for about 25 minutes to get to the top of the mountain.

🎢 Have some fun at the Tibidabo Amusement Park

Roller coasters, Ferris wheel, carousels, magic mirrors, and flying chairs: the park had around 25 different attractions. They are not particularly adrenaline-crazy. It is more old-school vintage rides with a sense of nostalgia and romantic fantasies. It is all perfect for families with kids but everyone will find something to enjoy.

⛪ Explore Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor

Up on the mountain, there's also this epic church, the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is a neo-Gothic masterpiece, the postcard views of which lately became one of the symbols of Barcelona. You can admire the intricate architecture, step inside to see beautiful stained-glass windows, and for 3,5 Euros, climb to the top of the church for amazing views of the city.

🏞️ Enjoy the views

There is a Panoramic viewpoint in the Amusement Park. Though you need tickets for the park, you can always enter for free if you are not planning to take any rides. Located around 500 meters above the sea level, the viewpoint is the best place to see the entire city of Barcelona. Tibidabo is a part of Collserola Natural Park. So, after taking all your Insta shots with the city at your feet, don’t miss the exuberant nature around.
